In brief

  • Who is responsible: Luca Godano, who runs this site. His details are in the legal notice; you can write to hello@bali-activities.com.
  • What we collect: anonymous counts of page views and of clicks on booking links, and the emails you send us. No cookies, nothing stored on your device, no accounts.
  • Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and complain to a data protection authority.

What we collect and why

Page views. When your browser opens a page, our server counts it with the page address, your country as our host detects it, and the time. We do not store your IP address, details of your browser or any identifier. We use these counts to know which pages are read.

Clicks on booking links. When you click a booking link, a small script on our page tells our server which tour, which page and which place on the page, and our server adds the booking platform and your country. Nothing else is sent or stored, and the script does not read or store anything else on your device. We use these counts to know which comparisons help readers.

Emails. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use them only to answer you and to deal with your request.

There are no cookies, no local storage, no forms, no accounts and no newsletter on this site, and we do not use advertising or tracking services.

The page view and click counts are anonymous audience measurement for this site only, which is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used. Answering your emails is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and in some cases it is needed to take steps you asked for.

Who handles data for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the page view and click counts. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site. Cloudflare also forwards the emails sent to our address and keeps a delivery log (sender, recipient and result).
  • Our email provider stores the emails we receive in our mailbox.
  • Booking platforms: when you follow a booking link, you leave this site and the platform’s own privacy policy and cookie policy apply.

Cloudflare is based in the United States. It is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for other transfers, according to its privacy policy.

How long we keep data

  • Page view and click counts: three months, then they are deleted by our host.
  • Emails: as long as we need them to answer and deal with your request, and no longer than twelve months after our last exchange, unless we need them for a legal claim.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of its processing or its portability, and you can object to it. Write to hello@bali-activities.com. Because the page view and click counts do not identify you, there is usually nothing in them we can link to you.

You can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or to the authority of the country where you live.

We do not make automated decisions about you, and you do not have to give us any data to read this site.

Changes

If we change how this site handles data, we update this page and the date at its top.
